Well it is here! My Turn for Fabric Blog Tour!
Good morning everyone!
This is so exciting to do a final reveal and show you the process of my quilt!
I am so thankful to
Amanda Brandl for inviting me to do this tour and for
KandKfabric for giving me this awesome fabric to play with. Amanda has designed two ranges of fabric - Taking Flight and Bush Gum Blossums. These are her first ranges to be launched onto the market. I know others have said this, but I can't say it enough, it is such high quality fabric and is amazingly so soft. My bolt range bundle of fabric is in a truck on its way to me at the moment and I just can't wait. I really need to make a dress from one of these fabrics.
I did some designing using my quiltography app on my iPad I decided that a carpenters wheel quilt would be ideal for this fabric. It measures 39" so is ideal for a lap rug or a baby quilt.
I decided to use 5" squares as this will make it charm friendly quilt if anyone wants to try it themselves. I will write another post with all the details of the pattern later in the week. If I do this here it will leave you a novel and that is not the idea today but to give you a glimpse of these awesome fabrics.

Quilting in the Stables |
Now I just knew this little beauty had to accompany me to
Harewood house -Scots on the Swamp Fundraiser where I was doing a demonstration of my quilting endeavours. I was in the stables again and this is a great place to showcase my quilts. I then took Staring Feathered Friends Quilt on a tour of the house. Here are the photos I took and you will see a few with some delightful people who were looking through the house when I took the photos.
