Time Warp quilt!

Pantone Colour of the Year Quilt Challenge!

Wow! What a challenge for a colour!  Not my normal I use. Firstly, I would love to thank our hosts Anne and Adrienne for this.  Please check their blogs Play-crafts & On the Windy Side and please vote for my entry at either of these links you clicking on the heart icon.  Whilst your there enjoy the eye candy and check out all of the wonderful quilts of the other entries as well. Thanks.

Time Warp with Bernard and Ben!

love this pot of colour

Well this colour lead me on a search for a range of fabrics to fit this theme and I had an idea to use the Creative Grids Hexagon Trim Tool to create a new looking hexagon block.  To my delight I found 12 Fat 1/4s of Prairie Gatherings by Pam Buda.  I then proceeded to make the top and managed to find the perfect border called Judie's Album Quilt by Judie Rothermel.  I had bought my Aurifil threads from Always Quilting.

Fabrics and threads!

My quilt is 52" x 44" and I am really happy with this size to showcase this new block.

and some more pebbling with swirls

I have called this quilt time warp as I feel it is unusual to use reproduction fabrics like this and also to Quilt it in this manner.  I love hand quilting and have really enjoyed this challenge and this quilt.  I am not sure where this quilt will finally reside but at this stage Bernard and Ben some of my favourite  bears have claimed it as their own.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think about my quilt.  Thanks again for you vote.

Cheers

Wendy

What a delight to find some Pantone 2015 in my stash to create this wonder for my cousin!

Thanks to Play-crafts & On the Windy Side for hosting this wonderful challenge.

I have created this table runner from fabric out of my stash and I have just loved the way it has all come together.  It measures 16" x  50"

I machine quilted this simply with 28wt Aurifil thread and love the way the colour just shines.  Please vote via the links at the top of the page and I hope you love this as much as I do.

Cheers, and don't forget to leave a comment and say hello.

Doing the Time Warp!

Hello!

Boy it seems like it has been ages since I have been here and chatted to you all.
I have been quite busy creating as you will see and not just with this one but many.  I will gradually show them to you over the next few weeks as I get past these few deadlines.

Let me introduce Time Warp to you!  I am so excited to be doing this quilt.  This will be one of my entries for the Pantone Colour of the year quilt challenge which is held at Adrienne and Anne blogs.  I am linking today atMy quilt infatuation

as a flimsy

I am so happy to have found this fat quarter bundle from Pam Buda, Prairie Gatherings.  I do not normally use reproduction fabrics but have found them a delight, I have used Judies Album quilt by Judie Rothermel for the border.

Some pebbles in the making

The reason for the name Time Warp is because I am using reproduction fabrics but I have pieced it with more of a modern feel using the Creative Grids Hexagon Trim Tool and I am also quilting it with a modern feel.

So I hope you enjoy this quilt as much as I am, please check back in with me on Sunday as I give you an update.  I am hoping to be towards the end of the quilting by then.  I am sharing this with you today So until Sunday have fun quilting or creating and just love life,

All the best, Wendy.

P.s. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think
